Nicks Knack For Neologisms

My countenance is affable as I listen to the loquacious host. He does not obfuscate
his love for language and neologisms.
Not wanting to prevaricate I am ambivalent about this podcast. Juxtaposed; the benefits of it’s salubriousness and my laziness. I am misanthropic regarding elite esoteric groups but logophiles are an interesting bunch. so I think I will continue to listen to this podcast.
Oh and mnemonic is my favorite word he chose.

Previously on...:
More info on taking grapes to the hospital.

Stool therapy: Springs manages to turn the tables and gross out Mr Geek with her knowledge. But he then says they sometimes put it in the stomach and not up the bum. Bum germs still gross her out but she finds that therapy interesting from a science perspective.  She just wants to brag that she knew what it was when Mr Geek thought she'd would be super grossed out.

Some More Cut Aways

Dean from Supernatural said “whore’s bath” in the most recent episode!

Random Spring-ing:
Movie or TV idea - the stars are famous peoples hair and or facial hair.
ie: Ted Danson’s hair, 1980’s Tom Selek’s mustache, Reggie Watts’ hair,
This all started because of Ted Danson’s hair. Springs thought he was ugly and gross when he was on Cheers but now he is on CSI with his silver/white hair, he looks so much better. She keeps joking that on CSI it’s The Ted Danson’s Hair Show.

Oh…She also has an Irrational hatred for brass jello molds. (??)

Because of the Magical Thinking Institute she is now wearing an eye patch over her third eye so she can block them out.

Finally, the super power she would like is:  The Glancing Blow (when you look at someone quickly, glance, and it lands a punch)

You Should Have A Podcast:
God...Yes God should have a podcast goddammit!

TV Shows and Films:
Community - Levar Burton!!!
Helix
Bates Motel
American Horror Story

S02E05 - FuMPing It

The FuMP & Makin It

Riki Lindhome
Riki Lindhome (Photo credit: Gage Skidmore)
Yes indeed, it's the long awaited season 2 episode 5.  We tell you why it's been so long (Springs was carted off to the Booby Hatch by men in white coats, with big butterfly nets...not really, but I like the imagery...and saying booby hatch) and what Tubthumping had to do with it.  This does take up the majority of the show but we still manage to cover our podcasts and everything below...even Stool transplant treatments... eeewww!!!

Podcasts This Show:
Springs  -  Making It (with Riki Lindhome)
Mr. Geek  -  The FuMP
Is it a British thing to bring grapes to people in hospital? Does it happen?
Are flowers not allowed?

You Should Have A Podcast:
Troy and Abed! Even though Troy will be leaving, they could Skype...make references to what is going on in the show and what is going on for Troy’s travels.

TV Shows and Films:
COMMUNITY!  (yes all caps necessary)
Archer

Random Youtubing:
Yes or No? Justify:
Is revenge ever an appropriate response?
What is the difference between holding someone accountable for their bad behaviour and “getting them back”.

Imaginary Family Tree:
It gets weird. Springs recently discovered, her twin Noel Fielding is also the twin of Russell Brand...but not her twin. Her mother is Noel’s mother but not Russell’s.... well it’s complicated.  Something to do with The Magical Thinking Institute.

Homework:
Each week, we will turn to the Random Podcast Selecting Machine and review whatever podcast it spits out.  We will both listen to the same 5 episodes and report back next show.

The Christmas Special

The 2013 SAMG Christmas Special

It should be noted upfront that this podcast is a lo-res facsimile of itself as we recorded the whole thing a day previously but then found that Mr Geek hadn't recorded the Springs side of the conversation.  He shall be flogged!

Mr. Geek is pro-Christmas and Springs is kinda anti-Christmas so we try and find a festive middle ground and bring you this Christmas Special :P

This is not a standard show.  We do not introduce you to new podcasts and there are (mostly) non of the usual slots.  We just spend our time chatting about our versions of Christmas and other miscellaneous stuff.

I mention how having wireless at Disney World affected the way I dealt with my photos and we compare Thanksgivings in US & Canada (and Harvest Festival in the UK). After that we get onto the well known Christmas charity singles:  Do they know its Christmas - Band Aid, We Are The World - USA For Africa and The Canadian One.

Springs is EXCITED!!  Community is coming back!!!
Springs is also excited about Big Graph paper
Springs is looking forward to receiving her Kickstarter solar heater

Springs chooses the World of Music (in post)
Springs wonders if "Baby it's cold outside" is ‘rapey’?

Springs shares this years 'punch it in the face' xmas tune: Waitresses (Christmas Wrapping)

Imaginary Family Tree:
Noel Fielding
Leads to discussion about Never Mind The Buzzcocks and guests walking off...I mistakenly think its Huey from the Fun Loving Criminals, who famously smashed a mug on the show.

World Of Music:  Japan (again)

This is what happens when Mr Geek leaves Springs to pick a foreign Christmas song.

Of course, If you have any suggestions, please email us let us know.
